Social Media Review - October 17, 2014

Hello everyone!  It's been a few weeks since our last post, so let's get right into things with some of the latest "social stuff" happening around Tour.  This post is going to highlight two of our players that are using the power of social media to gain interest in their latest endeavors.

Michelle Wie's Golf Digest Cover Contest

Michelle Wie truly embraces all that social media has to offer and the contest she ran a few weeks ago is no exception.

After her Golf Digest cover hit the stands, Wie took to Twitter and asked fans to send her pictures of themselves reading the magazine.  The first 50 entries using #WiezyOnDigest got a signed copy from Michelle.

Morgan Pressel Foundation Golf Bag Giveaway

Morgan Pressel has a passion for raising funds and awareness for Breast Cancer. Her mother passed away from the disease in 2003. In 2010, after a few years of fundraising, the Morgan Pressel Foundation was created, and is looking to make a difference in the future.  To date, the Morgan Pressel Foundation has raised $1.75 million.

With the monies raised, the Foundation was able to purchase the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel Mammovan in association with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, which travels around the area providing easy access for a yearly mammogram.

Pressel's main fundraiser is her yearly "Morgan & Friends" Gala and Golf event.  Last year, with a little help from her friends, she raised $600K for her Foundation and she celebrated the Morgan Pressel Center for Cancer Genetics.

Pressel recently took to Facebook to promote her golf bag giveaway to further raise awareness.

With her personal video and post, Morgan asks fans to "like" the Morgan Pressel Foundation Facebook page and comment on how they plan to raise breast cancer awareness during the month of October and she would pick a lucky winner to receive one of her staff golf bags.  Very cool.  She's also donating $1 for every share of this post, up to $5,000, to the Foundation. Very, very cool.

Head on over to the Morgan Pressel Foundation Facebook page, like it and share the post!
